Hugo Corbin

Hugo Corbin, a French-born jazz guitarist and arranger who was born on Martinique island. Hugo was inspired both by live street concerts in Martinique every day and his mother, who is a jazz singer. Hugo began playing the guitar at an early age, listening to Jeff Buckley, Queen, and Led Zeppelin. After meeting a clarinetist from New Orleans, Hugo returned to jazz. He introduced him to Normandy street concerts at the age of 17. He attended the Amercian school of modern music in Paris, where he studied Jazz. In 2009, he was honored with the Amercian School. After Jazz Music Studies at Noisiel Conservatoire in France, he received a DEM (Diplome d’Etudes Musicales: Musical Studies diploma) in 2011. He was awarded a scholarship in 2013 to study at New School for Jazz u0026 New Contemporary Music in New York. Hugo has been sharing his passion for jazz with students through classes in person since 2005.
