Ilkka Arola (b. Ilkka Arola (b. 1988) is a Finnish trumpeter. He plays the Quartertone trumpet, flugelhorn and many other instruments. He also works as an arranger, teacher, composer, and arranger. Ilkka Arola enjoys improvisation and interacting with other musicians. Although his background is in jazz music, he draws inspiration from many music styles such as Indian rhythm solfage and Arabic maqam tradition. Ilkka Arola finished his Master’s degree in Aarhus in Denmark in 2016. (The Nordic Master of Global Music). He studied jazz and pop music, and pedagogics at Helsinki Pop.
