Jacob Collier is a prodigious, innovative and distinctive young musician. Jacob Collier, a London-based musician, has been inspired many sounds. His music mixes elements of Jazz, A cappella and Folk, Groove Folk, Folk, Trip-hop music, Classical music Brazil, Gospel, Soul, Improvisation, Gospel, Soul, Soul, and Improvisation, which all culminate in the “Jacob Collier” world. Jacob was raised in a musical family and learned his craft from an early age. Jacob has taken to the internet to share his unique creative talents. He is best known for his multi-faceted YouTube videos. These videos are created from his home music room, where he sings and plays all the instruments. Jacob has had over 180K followers on YouTube and 7.9 million views since his first YouTube upload in 2012. Collier’s viral hits, such as the Stevie Wonder song “Don’t You Worry About A Thing”, have earned him a worldwide following. Jacob spent the past year working with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston to create and build a unique solo performance vehicle that brings his multi-instrumental, multivisual, one-man style of music making to the stage. Jacob debuted the show at Montreux Jazz Festival as an opener for Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. After seeing Collier’s pre-debut at Ronnie Scott Jazz Club in London, the Guardian declared him “jazz music’s new messiah.” Jazzwise magazine also named him “The Future of Music.” Collier is currently working on arrangements for orchestras around the globe, as well as traveling to give Masterclasses at universities and schools. Jacob also participated in Beats by Dre’s Ruby World Cup “The Game starts Here” television campaign and online campaign. Jacob recorded and arranged “Jerusalem” as the soundtrack. Over 7.5 million people have viewed the YouTube video. Jacob’s debut album “In My Room”, was released worldwide on July 1, 2016. It reached #1 on iTunes Jazz in 23 different countries. It debuted at the top of the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Album Chart.
