Jason Parker

The Jason Parker Quartet is forward-thinking Jazz, but it’s firmly rooted within the traditions. You can find new takes on classics by Miles Davis, Chet Bak, Thelonious Monk and others. They never lose sight of their goal – to make the audience laugh and have fun with original music. Parker plays the trumpet and flugelhorn, with the most active young cats in the scene today, Josh Rawlings playing piano (Soul Kata and Pocket Change, Industrial Revelation), Evan Flory Barnes playing bass (Marc Seales and Threat to Beauty, The Teaching) as well as D’Vonne Lewis, a Golden Ear Award-winner on drums (Choklate and Hadley Caliman and McTuff). Our music is available for purchase and/or download at http://music.oneworkingmusician.com/ as well as: Broken Time Records – http://www.brokentime.com/ from facebook
