Jason Yeager

Jason Yeager, a pianist/composer based in New York, is known for his multifaceted and expressive music. Yeager is a recording artist for Greg Osby’s Inner Circle Music labels. He has released two albums with original music to great acclaim: “Ruminations” (2011), and “Affirmation” (2014). Yeager was mentored by jazz pianists Danilo Peez, Fred Hersch and Frank Carlberg. Yeager’s musical evolution reflects his love for jazz and improvisation, as well as elements of 20th-century classical music, blues, Argentine folk style, drum’n’bass rhythms, and more. He has been a sideman in many groups in New York, Boston and beyond. Jason Yeager is currently composing solo piano pieces inspired by war journalism. Jason graduated from the Tufts University/New England Conservatory double-degree program (summa cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Kappa Lambda), and is also a member of Berklee College of Music, Boston, and Varta Academy of Music Arts, New York City.
