Jeff “Tain”, Watts is the only musician to have appeared on each Grammy Award-winning jazz recording by Branford Marsalis and Wynton. Jeff Watts is a highly sought-after jazz drummer. He started his education at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where he studied classical percussion. After that, he enrolled at the Berklee School of Music where he studied jazz alongside the likes of Kevin Eubanks and Greg Osby. In 1981, Jeff joined Wynton Marsalis Quartet and won three Grammy Awards. Watts left Wynton Maralis Quartet in 1988. Harry Connick joined the Wynton Marsalis Quartet in 1988 after he had worked with George Benson. He joined the Branford Marsalis Quartet as a member in 1989.
