Jazz bassist. Born in Floridian, but growing up in Philadelphia. Garrison, McCoy Tyner, and other musicians are some of the most important of their generation. He played with Alice Coltrane and Archie Shepp as well as Elvin Jones and Hampton Hawes after Coltrane’s death in 1967.
