Joan Pérez-villegas

Born in Mallorca, in 1994, he started studying percussion at eight years old at the Conservatory of Music and Dance of Palma. He goes to Barcelona in 2013 to complete the bachelor’s degree in contemporary and classical percussion at ESMUC. He discovers jazz and traditional music and takes an interest in it. He finishes his degree and starts the Barcelona Jazz Master’s Degree in Composition, under the guidance of Lluis Vidal. His varied career has seen him take part in many projects, including chamber and symphonic music as well as music for dance and film and traditional music. He was also an academician at Balearic Symphony Orchestra and a guest artist at the SICMF (16′) in South Africa. Blau Salvatge is his first project as a band leader and composer. He will release Blau Salvatge in 2020 while continuing his studies at HKB Centre in Bern with Django Baates y Martin Streule. Submit your submissions to www.submithub.com
