Joanna Weinberg, a songwriter, has performed and written extensively for musical theatre and film. This is her first album. Joanna returned to piano lessons with Rafael Nazario, the album’s producer and arranger, after her one-woman show Sinksongs was made into a feature movie, Goddess. It starred Ronan Keating, Laura Michelle Kelly, and was released by Village Roadshow in 2012. Although she was inspired to create an album that moved away from theatre, her performance background is evident in many of the songs’ storytelling elements.
