Joe Puma, born August 13, 1927 and died May 31, 2000. He was an American jazz guitarist. In 1949-50, Puma had his first professional experience with Joe Roland. Puma was a session musician for many jazz musicians in the 1950s including Louie Bellson and Artie Shaw. He also recorded extensively as a leader. He worked with Morgana King and Bobby Hackett in the 1960s. Between 1972 and 1977, he and Chuck Wayne led an orchestra. He performed and taught until the late 1990s. Joe Puma Jr., his son, presently resides in Galveston TX. And his daughter Rosalie Ann resides in Michigan. His music was featured on “Good Morning Vietnam”. From Wikipedia
