John Moriarty, a guitarist and guitar-builder, is a graduate from the National College Of Art And Design (Dublin), where he studied Visual Communications. John Moriarty is primarily a performer guitarist. His passion for guitar building is the culmination of both his visual design and musical interests. He has performed at numerous concerts, including Guinness Jazz Festival and Glasgow Jazz Festival, Euro-Jazz Festival Mexico City, JJ Smyths’s, Vicar Street, and Euro-Jazz Festival Mexico City. John has recorded and toured the United States with Bill Carrothers, and performed with Bobby Watson from ‘Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers’. John has also performed many guitar duets alongside fellow Irishman Louis Stewart. John recently returned from California’s Healdsburg International Guitar Festival 2009.
