Juan Pablo Torres was a great trombone player in Latin-jazz in the 1990s. He played a key role in recording by Charles Azvanour, Paquito D’Rivera and Gilberto Santa Rosa. The Cuban also recorded at least 2 dozen LPs while sitting in on others’ recordings. Their success led to a contract for Sony Tropijazz with Trombone Man 1995, which featured D’Rivera as well as pianist Hilton Ruiz. Pepper Trombone was next in 1997 and, three years later, Torres returned with Son Que Chevere. Allmsuic
