Kalle Kalima (b. 1973 Helsinki, Finland. He began his journey to sound at six years old with piano lessons. He switched to guitar five years later and has not looked back. Raoul Bjorkenheim, John Schroder and the Hanns Eisler Conservatory in Berlin were some of the places he studied. Kalima’s attitude toward free music has changed dramatically since he moved to Berlin. Kalle has so far worked with Tomasz Stanko as a trompeter, Juhani Aaltonen as a saxophonist, Heikki Sarmanto as a pianist, and Carlos Bica, Teppo Hauta–Aho, and Sirone as bass players.
