Kevin Coelho, a teenage phenom Hammond B3 organ has not seen in decades, is Kevin Coelho. His debut album, “Funkengruven – The Joy of Driving a B3,” which was released by Tony Monaco’s Chicken Coup Records imprint, is a testament to his talents. Summit Records will release “Funkengruven”, July 10, 2012. Monaco said that Kevin is a brilliant and fascinating young musician. He also managed the sessions and lent Coelho his talented touring trio, guitarist Derek DiCenzo (drummer) and drummer Reggie Jackson (guitar). Kevin is a reminder of me in many ways. He is a master of the art and has studied a lot. He is a master at playing the left-hand bass which is key to the music’s driving force. Kevin produced the record. It was a great experience.
