Estonian artist Kirke Karja studied composition, piano, and free improvisation. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and works freelance as a musician. She holds a leadership position in many collectives, including the nine-member Pae Kollektiiv as well as the Kirke Karja Quartet.
