Larry Clinton was an accomplished composer, arranger and bandleader. His swing band was one the most prominent in pop music during the period between Tommy Dorsey’s first success and Glenn Miller’s rise to fame. Clinton was born in Brooklyn and began his career as an arranger for Ferde Grofe.
