Laurin Talese is naturally gifted and highly trained. She has been captivating audiences since she was ten years old with her voice. She is a Cleveland native and attended the Cleveland School of the Arts. At a young age she was recognized as a promising young singer. After graduating from high school, Laurin moved to Philadelphia, where she received a Bachelor of Music in jazz vocal performance. Laurin has a strong affinity for jazz but is equally adept in other musical styles. She has performed with many American artists, including Ed Sheeran and Bilal, Aloe Blacc and Vivian Green. She has also shared the stage with jazz and classical ensembles like The Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Jazz Heritage Orchestra and The Moses Hogan Chorale. She is also a member of the internationally acclaimed Mozarteum Orchestra in Salzburg, Austria. She has performed all over Europe, including in the UK, Belgium, Germany and Austria. Her pure voice and her poignant lyrics are what excite her audience and help to define her sound. She can be found performing all over the East Coast and beyond as she continues to make a name for her solo voice. Recently, Laurin has teamed up with Ulysses Owens Jr. (Grammy-award winning producer and drummer) and Adam Blackstone (BASSic Black Entertainment), for her debut album. This album features Owens and Blackstone alongside Josh Lawrence, Robert Glasper and Christian McBride and Christian Sands. Eric Wortham II is also featured. Laurin Talese’s debut album, “Gorgeous Chaos”, was released March 25, 2016.
