Leo Richardson, London’s foremost Jazz Tenor Saxophonist, is without a doubt a well-known name. He is best known for his straight-ahead, modern hard-bop style. John Coltrane and Joe Henderson were his most important influences. Dexter Gordon, Joe Henderson, Horace Silver, Art Blakey, and Dexter Gordon are also among his top choices. Leo received a scholarship in 2009 to study Jazz at Trinity College of Music. Leo studied with world-class jazz saxophonists such as Martin Speake and Julian Siegel, Mick Foster, Mark Lockheart, Martin Speake, Martin Speake, Mark Lockheart, Mark Lockheart, Mark Speake, Mark Lockheart, Mark Speake, Mark Lockheart, Mark Lockheart, and Mick Foster while at Trinity. Leo has been a sought-after sideman and has worked with many well-known musicians at acclaimed venues like Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club (The Royal Albert Hall), Queen Elizabeth Hall, Cadogan Hall and The Vortex Jazz Club. Leo was nominated for the London Music Awards 2015 Rising Star Jazz Category. With his own band, he hosts the Late Late Show at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. Leo has recorded and performed with many notable artists, including Kylie Minogue and Jamie Cullum. Leo’s quartet includes outstanding artists who are each standouts. Rick Simpson, the Yamaha Scholarship Prize for Outstanding Jazz Musicians winner, lives on piano. Mark Lewandowski is a highly sought-after young musician. He drives a powerful, vibrant double bass.
