After playing drums and piano as a child, Leo Sherman started playing the acoustic basse in high school. The bass’s round sound and booming swells of sound was what attracted him to it. Leo completed a double degree in jazz and classical performance during his undergraduate studies at William Paterson University. He completed his graduate studies at Manhattan School of Music shortly after. His focus was on contemporary jazz performance. Leo resides in New York City, where he performs regularly at the Lincoln Center and other top jazz venues. From www.leosherman.com
