Les Grant

From the Boardroom to The Bandstand, LES GRANT is a jazz singer, entrepreneur and actor as well as a businessman, writer, and businessman. He is a performer and musician who has performed in commercials, independent films, regional theatres, off-Broadway, and off-Broadway. He was a student at Circle in the Square’s Musical Theatre Program in NYC. He also wrote and starred in the one person show Lonesome When You Go. This show was featured on Pulse Ensemble Theatre’s OPAL series. It was then selected by NBC for their PSNBC program in New York. Les was an actor at the Wilma Theatre, and a member of University of Pennsylvania’s Counterparts vocal jazz group. Les founded MedPricer.com as a healthcare eSourcing platform. Les was the COO and Director of MedPricer.com for six years. He led the company through two rounds venture funding and worked with many top US health systems. He is currently Mount Sinai Hospital’s Corporate Director for Materials Management. He also lectures on healthcare, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Les is a jazz singer and bandleader and performs frequently in New York and Europe with his band, The Les Grant 5. The LG5 is a group of young jazz musicians who perform innovative interpretations of blues, jazz and pop songs. Way Forward Way Back is his new CD recorded at Systems Two Studios, Brooklyn. It features a stellar lineup, including John Chin (Fresh Sound/New Talent Records on Piano), Dan Rieser, (Norah Jones and The Little Willies on Drums), Matt Pavolka (Vista on Bass) and John Ellis (Thelonious Monk International Saxophone Competition Finalists, Double-Wide Criss Cross Jazz) playing saxophone. from http://www.lesgrant.net
