Linda Tillery

Tillery was the first to be known as the lead singer of The Loading Zone, a San Francisco band that existed from 1968 to 1969. She recorded her debut album with CBS Records in 1970 after the group split. Tillery continued to work as a studio musician throughout the 1970s, including playing drums on Santana’s and Mary Watkins’ albums. In 1978, she was a producer at Olivia Records and a staff artist. She released her second full-length album on the label. She was drawn to Olivia by her association. She has worked with June Millington and Deirdre Mcalla, Holly Near and Holly Near, as well with pop artists like Huey Lewis and Bobby McFerrin. She formed Cultural Heritage Choir, an African music group, in the 1990s. She is also a member of Skin Tight, her jazz/blues band. Wikipedia
