Loren Stillman

Loren Stillman is a Brooklyn-based composer and saxophonist. His music has received acclaimed reviews in publications such as The New York Times and Downbeat Magazine. Jazziz, Jazz Times and National Public Radio have all praised him as an innovative voice for modern jazz. Stillman’s training includes Lee Konitz, David Liebman, Harvey Pittel and other jazz musicians. He has performed, recorded and taught throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. Stillman’s impressive performance record includes recordings and master-classes with various ensembles. He has also performed alongside Charlie Haden and John Abercrombie as well as Greg Osby and Ralph Alessi in Andy Milne’s DAPP Theory and Michele Rosewoman Quintessence. Two Outstanding Performance Awards were presented to Stillman in 1996, at an early stage of his musical career.
