Luke Winslow-king

Luke Winslow King, a guitarist, singer and composer, is well-known for his slide guitar playing and love of traditional jazz and pre-war blues. Winslow King’s music is a mix of delta-folk, classical composition, rock and roll, with original songs juxtaposed with songs from an older era. LWK, for shortness’ sake, has been a hardworking musician since his 2013 critically acclaimed Bloodshot Records debut The Coming Tide. Subsequent tours in the United States and overseas with his singing partner (and now wife) Esther Rose and a mutating band (including the core of upright bassist Cassidy Holden, drummer Benji Bohannon, and trumpeter/keyboardist Ben Polcer) landed the group in front of larger audiences while sharing the stage with the likes of Jack White, Pokey Lafarge, Taj Mahal, Chris Thile, and Rebirth Brass Band. Winslow King’s second Bloodshot release in as many years is Everlasting Arms. It finds inspiration in the development experiences of life.
