Manuel Echazabal, a saxophonist and woodwinds player living in Miami, FL, is a composer. Manny is involved in many Miami projects, including his own group, the “Manny Echazabal Group.” Manny has just recored his debut album, which will be out in early 2017. The new album features Tal Cohen on piano and Dion Kerr IV (bass) and David Chiverton (drums). Manny will be composing all the songs. You can keep up to date by following the News tab or using Social Media. Manny graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance and Studio Music. Manny was a member of various school ensembles, including the Frost Concert Jazz Band, which was directed by John Daversa. He has shared the stage with many artists, including Vince Mendoza and Maria Schneider, Danilo Perez as well as Arturo Sandoval and Monica Mancini. Manuel Echazabal performed at many jazz and music festivals over his career. These included the Amelia Island Jazz Festival and Festival Miami, Coconut Grove Arts Festival and the Next Generation Jazz Festival. Monterey Jazz Festival is in Monterey California. The Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival and the Wynwood Festival in Miami. Manuel’s work as a bandleader has been also recognized.
