Marcelo Gutfraind

Marcelo Gutfraind, guitarist, composer, and teacher, lived five years in America, where he was granted a scholarship by the Berklee College of Music. He attended clinics with Pat Metheny and Kenny Werner as well as Gary Burton, Jim Hall, John Scofield, and Gary Burton. He released four albums: Experimentos de ida y vuelta (1994, PAI); Rio abajo, (2003, Bau); Segundo plano (2010, Sofa Records) and Notre (2012, Sofa Records), featuring all original compositions. He also recorded Percepciones (2006), Blue Art with Paula Shocron and was featured on the albums of Eleonora Eubel and Ricardo Cavalli. He was also a teacher and was a member of the Jazz program at Conservatorio Superior de Musica Manuel de Falla as well as at the Escuela de Musica contemporanea from 1999 to 2012.
