Mari is a sensual and explosive combination of Latin and Jazz flavors. Mari is a talented, natural-gifted vocalist and songwriter. She comes from a creative Latin Jazz background and has worked alongside some of the most prominent names in the music industry. She moved to the USA in order to work as an actress on a variety of TV and movie shows, as well as for commercials. She has extensive experience in voice-over and is currently working on several major projects, including Living Language and Random House. Mari is an immigrant from Mexico to the United States. She struggles to survive with no family, but eventually finds her way to being herself. She enjoys New York and embraces American culture. She is one of few singers that can sing in five languages, including English, Spanish Portuguese, Italian, Portuguese and French. She is a versatile performer with a strong stage presence. She performs frequently in Brazil with well-known musicians, such as Djavan Lins and Ivan Lins. She lives in Los Angeles and performs with “Nobresil”, her innovative and sophisticated Brazilian jazz band. 2011-Mari released “Nobresil – In Brazil”, her captivating and irresistible CD, which was arranged by Jovino Santo netos, a twice Grammy-nominated composer and musician. The album “In Brazil”, which is available on 750 radio stations across the United States, as well as in Central Europe, Italy and Central Europe, has been played. The band has also been the headliner performer at many festivals, including the Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival where they shared the stage with Bebel Gilberto, who opened the Nobresil show. “Nobresil -In Brazil” was awarded the Akademia Music Award for Best World Music CD. KXRL’s #1 single “So Danco Samba” was recently the first to be released from the CD.
