Mark Dejong

Since graduating from University of Calgary in 1991, Mark has been an active performer and educator. He was a Mount Royal College Conservatory saxophone teacher, organized music for Beat Niq from its inception to 2000, and kept a busy performing schedule as part of The Swinging Bovines saxophone quartet. In 1998, Mark moved to Vancouver to study with Stan Karp. He then relocated to New Jersey in 2001 in order to continue his graduate jazz studies under Ralph Bowen. After finishing his graduate studies, Mark moved back to Canada to teach jazz studies at the University of Saskatchewan. from http://www.chronographrecords.com
