Marsh Dondurma

Marsh Dondurma’s sound has been distinctive and personal over the many years it has existed. They create an Israel groove by blending New Orleans trumpets, Arab Maqam, Yemenite rhythms, Balkan riffs, and klezmer howls with funk. They have been to many festivals around the globe (the Montreal Jazz Festival and The Gocha Festival in Serbia in China, Taiwan, Mexico and Poland), as well as numerous stages and events in Israel (the Israel festival, The Eilat Jazz Festival and The Klezmer Festival at Zfat, IndiNegev and Menashe forest, and many more). Their music is nourished by unmediated contact with the public. It’s not uncommon to see the band throwing a party on the streets. from http://yellowsubmarine.org
