Matt Piet, a Palos Park native, is an improviser who returned to Palos Park in 2014 after completing his studies at Boston’s Berklee School of Music. His passion for music, ability to work with others, and unwavering talent have helped him rise quickly in the ranks of younger musicians. Piet released Rummage Out, Clean Feed and Throw Tomatoes (Astral Spirits) earlier this year. These albums were made with two of his working groups that he has developed with older players. It’s a testament to the respect he has earned. He’s now saluting his peers by releasing City in a garden (Ears).
