Matt Renzi

A San Francisco native, tenor saxophonist/clarinetist Matt Renzi was born into a musical family. His grandfather was the principal oboist of Toscaninis NBC Symphony, and his father is the principal flautist of San Francisco Symphony. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Performance from Berklee College of Music. He studied with Joe Henderson, John Handy, Joe Henderson, and South Indian Vocalist R.A. Ramamani. Matt has performed at numerous festivals and venues across North America, as well as Europe and Asia, India, Singapore, Singapore, and Angola. His work with Dialogue, the legendary band of bassist Herbie Lewis, is noteworthy. You can hear him on many recordings, including the award-winning Lines and Ballads for Fresh Sound Records.
