Max Stadtfeld was born 29 April 1993 in Constance, Lake Constance. He grew up in Radolfzell or Liggeringen. He arrived at jazz drumming through classical percussion via the traditional southern German routes of music school and brass band. He began his lessons at Zurich University of the Arts when he was just fourteen years old. Max was a member of the Baden-Wurttemberg Jazz Orchestra and the Percussion Ensemble before he started his studies at HMT Leipzig. Stadtfeld has been living in Leipzig since 2013, where he studied under Prof. Heinrich Kobberling and Prof. Michael Wollny. After graduating in 2018, Max Stadtfeld started working as a freelance musician. His debut album on the ACT label is planned for 2019. from www.bauhausfestival.de
