Mike Cooper, a British influencer, is most well-known for his work as a singer/songwriter and folk-blues guitarist. He is also an improviser and electronic musician. He also creates sound art and radio art, is a journalist and a videographer, and performs silent film scores. Cooper was born in Reading in England in 1942. Cooper began playing the guitar when he was 16. He was initially inspired by New Orleans and Dixieland jazz. In the late 1950s, he joined skiffle groups. Sonny Terry changed his life in 1961.
