Misha Mullov-abbado

Mullov-Abbado, born in Britain, is the son of Viktoria Mullova and Claudio Abbado, an Italian conductor. This unique upbringing has inspired Misha, who now creates his own music identity and tells his own compelling stories. His debut album is filled with unusual colours, imagination leaps and strong character. New Ansonia clearly outlines the path Misha plans to take as both a performer and composer of extraordinary ability. Evan Parker, Kenny Wheeler Music Prize judge, said that this was “the beginning of an extraordinary individual’s journey.” Misha has gathered a wide range of talented young musicians from London’s jazz scene, including trombonist Tom Green and Matthew Herd. He also joined the YouTube sensation rhythm section.
