Nate White

Nate White began playing bass guitar at 16 years old. He then worked with John Manuel, the former Music Director of Motown Recording Act. In 1975, Nate and John founded a Soul/Jazz Group called Saturday Night Special. Roy Ayers, Jazz Legend discovered Saturday Night Special. In 1976 Saturday Night Special was named the Legendary Group RAMP. Roy Ayers. They were impressed by their unique sound and were invited to record an album which resulted in an ABC Records recording contract. The Roy Ayers produced LP, “Come Into Knowledge”, which featured the re-make Roy’s hit song “Everybody Loves The Sunshine”. It reached the Billboard Top 100 in 1977. They were the opening act for Kool, and had moderate success.
