Nathan Vinson

Nathan Vinson is originally from Bel Meade Texas. He received his Masters in Music from East Texas State University in the 1980s. He also played in a jazz band that featured future fusion bassist Gary Willis while he was at ETSU. Nathan played a variety of jazz styles over the next two decades while performing gigs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Dallas. Nathan started to experiment with computers in the mid-90s, creating experimental jungle and drumnbass pieces. His first attempts were made using a primitive music program on an old Commodore computer. Although he uses modern equipment these days, Nathan’s unique take on drumnbass can still be described as a computer jamming with itself. Nathan releases some CDs and records under his name. Others are released under the name Beep Squawk.
