Joshua Abrams founded Natural Information Society (NIS), in 2010. NIS is a long-form psychedelic environment that incorporates traditional and contemporary instruments. Abrams orchestrates them all. Mandatory Reality, the latest album by NIS, was released in April 2019 by eremite Records. Former and current members of the band include Lisa Alvarado (Jason Adasiewicz), Mikel Avery. Ben Boye, Hamid Driscoll, Ben Lamar Gay. Emmett Kelly. Nick Mazzarella. Jeff Parker. Frank Rosaly. Jason Stein. Kuba Suchar. Nori Tanaka. Chad Taylor. Natural Information Society and Bitchin Bajas collaborated in Automaginary (Drag city) in 2015.
