Kevin Higgins, bassist and composer, formed Nature, a groove-jazz band in Dublin, Ireland. His original music blends blues, jazz, dub and techno sounds with structures and structures from an extensive range of African-American music. Nature has performed at the Bray Jazz Festival, “Jazz Is Festival” and many other venues in Dublin. After more than a decade of gigging, writing and performing, the band entered the studio in spring 2012 to record their achievements. While studying for a Bachelor in Arts in Jazz Performance, they first met at Newpark Music Centre in Ireland. Tommy Gray, drummer, has years of experience in reggae production and funk session work. He also regularly gigs. Kevin Higgins (bass), who started out in blues bands, absorbed techno and hip-hop sounds while playing with Acid-Rock trio Mescalito. Chris Guilfoyle, guitarist, mixes math-rock and punk into an aggressive style that he shows off in his own band, Umbra. Georgia Cusack’s unique and delicate vocals are equally at home in neo-soul or free jazz. Nature has many future plans. They plan to explore new rhythmic and sonic ideas, record more, and tour to bring more grooves and music to more people. from http://www.acustronica.com
