Neil C. Young

Neil C Young, a UK jazz guitarist, is an internationally recognized musician. Eric Elias, an American magazine, wrote that his music combines elements of John Scofield’s, Keith Jarrett’s, George Benson’s, and Pat Metheny’s bands. His music is ‘full-of-soul and energy’ and ‘the arrangements and arrangements are beautiful. The Neil C. Young Trio uses a combination of expressions and techniques that reflects a range of styles and influences, from Be-bop and bossa to bring out their Rock roots. Their music, which features the solo Jazz Guitar as its core, is ‘harmonically refined’ according to Bill Milkowski (writer for Jaco Pastorius’ biography). The Neil C. Young Trio issued ‘El Camino in autumn 2011, the follow-up to their acclaimed album ‘Where’s yours?. It was distributed by Canadian American Records (U.S.A.) and WOA Records India (India). In 2011, and 2012, both were initial entries in the Grammy Awards by Canadian American Records. They were in the Improvised Solo Jazz and Instrumental Jazz categories. His original composition, “Next”, was featured on WOA Records’ Goa Chillout Zone Volume 2 album. It reached number 2 on the Indian Album Charts (October 2009). Neil also has regular airplay on Indian commercial radio. He is well-versed in composition and performance, both of which are key elements of his studies at the renowned Birmingham Conservatoire. The Neil C Young Trio is a tight, exciting, and fresh live band. They perform original and standard songs with beautiful harmonic interpretations.
