Konrad Wiszniewski, a Glasgow-based saxophonist, joins with Euan Stevenson, a fellow Scotsman and pianist & arranger to launch their genre-bending adventure New Focus on Whirlwind Records. New Focus is a combination of jazz quartet and classical string quartet, with harp accompaniment. It features a cinematic soundscape that combines through-composed melodies with cutting-edge improvisation drawing on influences from all musical genres.
