Nicole Henry

Since her debut in the spotlight, Nicole Henry has been praised by critics as well as audiences. It’s not surprising that Nicole Henry has been a touring artist throughout the United States and internationally in the past four years. She also released three top 10 selling CDs over the last four year. Nicole was a performer in Miami for two years, winning awards and singing original songs as well as covers. In 2002, Nicole fell in LOVE with jazz’s freedom, melody, and lyrics. To critical acclaim, she had released her first jazz CD, “The Nearness of You” in 2004. HMV Japan voted Nicole “Best New Jazz Performer” in 2004. The CD reached #2 on the HMV Japan charts and remained there for three months. Nicole was praised in the U.S. and featured on national jazz radio stations, such as Sirius and XM Satellite Radio. Billboard said that Henry was a jazz vocalist on the cusp for greater things. Teach Me Tonight, her follow-up CD with the Eddie Higgins Trio on Japan’s Venus Records reached #1 and was awarded HMV Japan the “Best Vocal Jazz Record” award. Nicole’s latest CD, The Very Thought of You, reached #7 in the U.S. Billboard Jazz Chart. This romantic CD includes love songs, originals, and gems from The American Songbook. Produced by Hal Batt, a music veteran (Regina Belle Jean Carne, Julio Iglesias), with the assistance of Don Mizell, Executive Creative Producer (co-producer Ray Charles’ Genius Loves). Jazz Improv wrote, “…beautiful… A wonderful voice and a sensitive manner with a line. Nicole Henry charms everyone she meets with her sensitivity and sincere delivery. Nicole Henry’s voice is powerful and uplifting. She is one of the most talented vocalists this decade, and she is ready to be heard by a wider audience. All About Jazz
