Noah Haidu, a jazz pianist, was born July 28, 1972 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is well-known for his melodic compositions that serve as a foundation for modernist, energetic improvisations. His group regularly performs at New York jazz venues like Smalls Jazz Club or Kitano Jazz. Recent recordings include SLIPSTREAM, his 2011 CD on Posi-Tone Records, HERE, THERE where Haidu and Mike Stern play as sidemen in a quartet setting), and SOUL STEP (a project in which he is both a pianist and co-leader of the collective quartet Native Soul).
