Olivier Bogé

Olivier Boge was born on 31 August 1981 in Toulon (south of France). He was 34 when he began playing and recording with some of the most important musicians such as Tigran Hayasyan and Bill McHenry. In 2012, he released his first recording as a leader for Fresh Sound New Talent, titled Imaginary traveler ». Another recording was released in fall 2012 and entitled ‘Fall Somewhere ». It was recorded with Nicolas Moreaux and Tigran Hamasyan. He recorded his second album as a leader in the fall of 2013. It was entitled The World Begins Today ». The album was released by Naive with a quartet that includes musicians who are among the best in contemporary jazz and have been his musical companions for many years: Tigran Hamasyan (Jeff Ballard), Sam Minaie, and Jeff Ballard. The album was universally praised by the media around the globe. He also began work on a personal project over two years. It was mainly composed music that crosses musical boundaries and is the reflection of his passion for music. He recorded the entire album with Nicolas Moreaux, drummer Karl Jannuska and Manon Ponsot, on cello. The album is called “Expanded Places” and will be released on October 15, 2015 by Naive.
