Osibisa

Osibisa, the brainchild of Teddy Osei (a Ghanaian sax player and composer who moved to London to study music), was one of the first African bands that gained worldwide fame. Osibisa’s mix of African and Caribbean styles made them a huge success in the mid 70s. Their popularity is still strong today, even though their recording dates have dropped off. Allmusic
