Ozomatli is an LA-based group that combines Latin and world music with funk and hip hop. They are also politically conscious and promote social change through their music and activism. Their live shows are full of energy and they have gained a large following. Both Chali 2na, Cut Chemist from Jurassic 5, were originally members of Ozomatli. Although they have both since left the group, they make guest appearances on Ozomatli’s Street Signs album. Ozomatli has since recruited Jabu, Justin “El Nino”, and DJ Spinobi as rappers.
