Pasadena Roof Orchestra

Pasadena Roof Orchestra was established over 40 years ago. It is a unique, world-class formation. It has performed at many major concert halls in London, New York and Dubai. It has released more than 40 albums. The Orchestra has contributed music to films such as the Comedian Harmonists’ (Josef Vilsmaier) and a soundtrack to ‘Just a Gigolo’ (1980 with David Bowie, Marlene Dietrich), her last film. It was featured at Buckingham Palace’s Christmas party in 2010, and its soundtracks were used in many advertising campaigns. To critical acclaim, the musicians have toured the USA twice. The Orchestra nostalgia is no longer relevant, since it seems more appropriate to the new phenomenon of tribute bands. In a similar fashion to the great dance groups that inspired it, The Orchestra has been established as an independent entity. It is a modern classic. It is a form of modern classic, standing on the shoulders Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin, Jerome kern Ray Noble, Hoagy carmichael, and Cole Porter. These were composers who created memorable melodies and romantic lyrics. These songs are the greatest achievements of song-writers’ art and remain the standard for all time. Ours is the sound of our era, just like the great bands of Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, Ray Noble and Fletcher Henderson. Music was the backdrop to world-changing events. Listen to the sounds that emerged from New York, New Orleans and Paris in the 1920’s. Hear the growling trumpet, muted trombone and the wailing clarinet glissando above the steady beat of the rhythm section. As the smoky shaft lights up the singer’s white tuxedo and red carnation, you can hear the growling trumpet. Pasadena Roof Orchestra is the best authentic dance band/ early swing music. It has always had access to the finest arrangements, the best musicians, and under the directorship of Band-leader and singer, DuncanGalloway, produces an immaculately presented show, full of fun, rhythm and laughter The Pasadena Roof Orchestra is sponsored by CitySightseeing Frankfurt / Munich from www.pasadena-roof-orchestra.com
