Paul Fox was born 17 July 1983. He was raised in a small Luxembourg village. He has always been interested in music, and all things connected to it, since he was young. He studied the Saxophone for 10 years, his first instrument. He began playing the drums four years later. Frank Hemmerle was his instructor in Luxembourg. He helped him to discover new musical horizons and new approaches to music. Workshops in Belgium with Olivier Stalon and Kris Duerinckx, Fred Delplancq and Marc Mangen. He discovered his passion for Jazz through workshops in Belgium (with Olivier Stalon, Kris Duerinckx, Fred Delplancq, Marc Mangen, etc.) He was soon accepted to the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music. There, he was taught by Bruno Castellucci and Jean-Louis Rassinfosse as well as Pierre Zurstrassen and Arnould Massart. He studied at the Hochschule fur Musik and darstellende Kunst Mannheim from 2007 to 2009. There he had masterclasses with Thomas van der Geld and Thomas Stabenow and Dietmar Mensinger. He moved to New York City in late 2009 and took lessons from Ari Hoenig (Bill Stewart), Nasheet Waits (John Riley), Gregory Hutchinson, Dan Weiss(Phil Maturano), Mark Guilana, Kendrick Scott) Paul released his first album, Submerging, in September 2011.
