Paul Van Kemenade

Paul van Kemenade ( altosaxophonist, composer,organizer, producer). 1957 Rotterdam, Netherlands. He attended the conservatories in Amsterdam and Tilburg, and began his career in nightclubs and cabarets. He played in many national- and international bands, including Podium Trio (Wierbos–Van Kemenade–Kuiper), Berlin Contemporary Jazz Orchestra (Ed Thigpen and Kenny Wheeler), Contraband and Vaalbleek, his Dutch quintet, and many others. Van Kemenade worked with poets, dancers, painters, and other big bands. He was involved in projects that included symphony orchestras as well as brassbands, flamenco musicians, string ensembles, and renaissance singers. from
