Peter Ehwald

PETER EHWALD (1979 composition, saxophone). Peter Ehwald studied Saxophone in Weimar, Koln, London, and City College New York. Claudius Valk and John Patitucci taught him. He also took lessons from Stan Sulzman, Stan Sulzman, Julian Arguelles and Mike Holober. He was awarded a prestigious DAAD scholarship and taught Jazz-Combo, Big Band as a graduate assistant at City College, New York from 2007 to 2009. In spring 2007, his composition Alanis was performed by Carnegie Hall. Peter is a highly-touring musician who has performed with numerous bands across the United States, including in France, Poland and Spain. He also performs in Peru, USA, Brazil, Peru, Finland, USA, Peru, and Costa Rica. Concerts and recordings with musicians like Clarence Penn, Rudi Mahll, Claudio Puntin. Nils Wogram. Frank Mobus. Norbert Scholly. Scholarships: London Erasmus-Stipend (2003-04), New York DAAD-scholarship (2005-2006 und 2006-2007).
