Since he was a child, Phil has had music as his guiding force. As he grew older, time has allowed him to develop his musical talents into stunning creations. It’s not about the words, but the music that moves your body to the beat and speaks to your soul. You have to listen to his music to truly understand Phil and his passion. Phil began playing the accordion at the age of eight. Despite his musical talent, he never took music seriously. He loved jamming with his friends and playing for the enjoyment of it. After graduating High School, he was accepted to the Music Conservatory by performing on the organ. He also performed a song he had written. He began to play the piano at the age of 17. At 20 he began writing music professionally and at 21 he was a Westchester Conservatory of Music graduate. His first album was released at 25. Phil Casagrande is a producer, writer and composer. He has a wide range of musical talents, including original solo piano performances and pop music. His amazing smooth-jazz composition “Let’s Groove” is a great example. Phil was a writer for Atlantic Records in 1982. He also worked at Starlight Records, where many of the songs he wrote ranked high on Billboard’s charts. Phil worked with Jessica Cleeves of P-funk. He played keyboards, synth, and did some production work on the Rap hit “Inspector Gadget”. He also co-produced Paula Anderson’s song “Four Year Battle” and was signed by Atlantic Records. He has also collaborated with Jeannine Carter and Dennis Johnson, who is a songwriter and producer. Phil is currently working out of Casagrande Studios in NYC on new musical creations. “Midnight Desires”, a love song, is perfect for any romantic evening.
