Pj Morgan

Paul Laurence Morgan, also known as “PJ Morgan”, is a master instructor and organist best known for his role as the Organist’s Organist. He was born in Washington D.C. in 1970. His family was musical and he learned to play the Hammond organ at a local Pentecostal church. After years of performing and playing in church, he got his big break in the music business when he was asked by Ben Tankard to replace a keyboardist. He took the offer and was a great performer. Tankard was impressed by PJ’s creativity, productivity, both on and off the guitar, so he moved PJ to Nashville to become his Music Director and help him build his record company. PJ has been a trailblazer ever since, performing for almost everyone in the Gospel and secular music genres and earning well-deserved praises as a producer, performer, teacher, and educator. PJ is the band director of Reid Temple AME. This mega church has 20,000 members and two locations in the Washington Metropolitan area. He is the newest member of the Ray Chew Orchestra. PJ will graduate from Bowie State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Technology and a minor on Classical Piano Performance in the Fall 2014. This pioneering musician will soon be releasing a few solo CDs on the organ. from http://hammondorganco.com
